*VIRTUAL* Offering Meaningful Consolation: Deep listening for misunderstood losses

So much grief goes unseen and unhealed because of life events that are not understood by us as losses. Then the griever feels misunderstood, creating a second loss for them—the loss of the support network they desperately need in order to heal. One of the many types of listening—deep listening—goes to the root of supporting a sad friend, and is a skill we can all learn.
