Worldwide Candle Lighting

Come together for an uplifting community memorial celebration. We invite you to join us — come alone or bring a friend or family member. Registration encouraged, but not required. All are welcome!

Program agenda:

• 6:00-6:45pm: Free memorial craft making, light refreshments, mingling
• 6:45-7:15pm: Welcome, poetry readings, candle lighting ceremony
• 7:15-8:00pm: Free memorial craft making, light refreshments, mingling

What to bring (optional):

• Contributions of small bites or non-alcoholic beverages happily accepted
• Guests are invited to add photos or moments to a community shrine (please pickup upon departure)

This program is offered through a partnership with the following local non-profit organizations: The Compassionate Friends Mid-Peninsula Chapter, Mission Hospice & Home Care, and Brisbane Lions Club.

History of the Worldwide Candle Lighting:

The Annual Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles to honor the memories of our loved ones who died too soon. The Worldwide Candle Lighting creates a virtual 24-hour wave of light as it moves from time zone to time zone.

COVID-19 Precautions:

Facility doors will be propped open to provide adequate air flow, and hand sanitizer will be provided. For the safety of yourself and others, at this time masks are encouraged.
