Constance Sweeney
Grew up: I was born and raised in San Carlos, and moved to Half Moon Bay when I was 16
Joined Mission Hospice: in 2012 as a volunteer, and in 2017 as an employee
Why this work? I was inspired by the loving care my father received in hospice, and felt called to be a volunteer.
Mission Hospice in three words: Compassionate patient-centric care
Passions: Traveling, horses, dancing, music, journaling, the beach, elder care, and my two grandchildren, Diogo and Mathias – they rock my world!
Favorite food: I love food! Italian, Mexican, and Indian food are among my favorites.
Reading: “Way of Mastery” by Shanti Christo Foundation
Desert island album: Hard to name one, but I’d say “Wade in the Water” by Ramsey Lewis or anything by Neil Young
Little known fact: In 2001, I summited Mount Kilimanjaro
Favorite movie: “King of Hearts” with Alan Bates
On my bucket list: Go to the Kentucky Derby; visit Greenland, Antarctica, Scotland; see more of India; and learn to sew.
